Hi From Andy Carter

Postby andycarter » Sat Apr 25, 2009 11:21 am

Hallo!
I'm Andy, I have a Neil Brook D/G Artist hurdy in blue (don't ask!) with remote drone & chanterelle selectors, a built in pickup and sympathetic strings. I live in Heptonstall : an old village on top of a hill in Pennine West Yorkshire above Hebden Bridge.
I started out just over a year ago on a Morillo Symphony collected from the Early Music Shop in Saltaire, Bradford. Having decided it was the sort of thing I could get on with, and after an appraisal of the instrument by Neil Brook at the Gurdy Fest 2008, I decided to re-sell it back to EMS and go for a 'real' gurdy! Three months later I was returning from Preston with my very own! It (and I) made its debut at the Informal Meet in Youlgrave last year.
Looking forward to going back there in only a matter of days now :D :D

Cheers
Andy
