Hi from Holland

Postby pflipp » Wed Aug 31, 2011 12:30 pm

Hey all,

I've requested an account for this forum, so now I'm obliged to introduce myself :)

I'm a Folkie from Holland having the unique opportunity to learn to make some musical instruments. Most likely I'll stick with wind instruments for about one more year. But a keen mind never rests, and that's why I'm pleased to have found this unique Hurdy Gurdy forum, too.

At current I am particularly interested to comment on this thread about the "chord" tangent layout, but who knows what else may follow.

Kind regards,
pflipp

Hello!

Welcome to the forum - and your post on my tangent thread was a particularly good starting one :)

I am in a similar position in terms of making gurdies — at the moment I'm gearing up for a three month course at the Totnes school of Guitarmaking, but I'm wanting to make gurdies after that. The are some experienced makers who hang around here (Neil brook, AKA gurdymaker, is one of them).

Thanks,
Barnaby
