This is the place for hurdy-gurdy techie talk.

After using a little block of wood clamped under the C string (My Gurdy is G / C) for a couple of years now to tune the C up to D I decided to add a permanent Capo. I looked all around and found the most complicated things, not to mention those simple ones using fishing tackle. I then decided, as ever to make mine VERY simple.

It is a piece of Maple, which fits into the Tangent Box and can swivel on its axis. I have inserted a little peg on the Soundboard which makes sure the Capo is exactly (lol) tuned.

Hi Glyn,
The capo looks great! Can't wait to get a closer look at it ... will have to wait til mid November and the gurdy weekend in Bad Homburg I guess as there's no Sommerbordunale this year.
