OK, some of my favourites:

Whirling Pope Joan (Nigel Eaton and Julie Murphy) - Spin

Nigel Eaton - Pandemonium

Blowzabella - Bobbityshooty

Patrick Bouffard - Transept

Cliff Stapleton, Chris Walshaw, Nigel Eaton - The Duellists

Daughters of Elvin - Galdrbok

Nigel Eaton and Andy Cutting - Panic at the Café

Trio Patrick Bouffard & Anne-Lise Foy - En-bal

Jez Lowe and Jake Walton - Two à Roue

plus a 'not-quite-hurdy-gurdy':

Anything by Bazar Blå, a wonderful Swedish band featuring nyckelharpa. I'm sure that Frank Vickers will be able to elaborate here as Cube Roots used to be sole UK distributor of their CDs. I was lucky enough to see this band a few years ago at the wonderful festival that used to take place in Norwich.

There are lots of others, but they are all upstairs and I'm not, so those were just off the top of my head.
Forthcoming gigs:
14 Oct - Steve Tilston, Ely Folk Club
18 Nov - James Hickman and Dan Cassidy, Ely Folk Club
5 Dec - ColvinQuarmby, Arkenstall Village Centre, Haddenham, Cambs
9 Dec - Dave Swarbrick, Ely Folk Club

Hi All,

I still have 16 copies of Citizen Camembert's 2000 CD Anchovy Cappuccino left in my bottom draw. Ten contemporary tracks featuring Maxine Sweatman on HG, with pipes, bass clarinet, percussion, and bazouki.

£ 10.00 + 2.50 p&p. Email,or PM me if you are interested enough to buy a copy :D

the Fiendhandle CD is also worth a listen

I got a CD at the Bagpipe Society Blowout a few years ago that has pipe and gurdy. It is a good cd for people wanting 20+ french dance tunes. Mostly trad but some good modern tunes too.

The CD is called Bourrée Bourrée Bourrée:

> thought it may be interesting for us all to post our favourites. im hoping to find some cds and players i dont know of. theres loads of cds out there that are good for sourcing tunes and some that are technically interesting and loads that are really hard to listen to for more than 5 minutes.i tried to choose ones that are good performances and that to my mind are good to listen to in their entirety though obviously its all down to personal taste.
