I sadly no longer own this instrument, so this is written from memory.
A large instrument! The bass tekero is larger than a standard tekero, it has a loud and powerful sound. The melody strings are tuned to C, with clever notched keys which can act as capos to make the open note D or E when locked with the lever inside the keybox. This instrument had two trompette strings fitted, the first a Hungarian style with wedge system, the second a French style one with peg & tirant. There is also a capo on the bass drone. This one was fitted with a pickup system by Balazs, I found it amplified and recorded well. The long scale length gave a very pleasing cello like tone to the higher melody string when played on it's own.

It's beautiful! Did you sell it? And, if so, why?
